Event: LIP Learning Event

The Bow Valley Immigration Partnership (BVIP) will host a two-day conference between May 1st-13th for Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs) from the Prairies and Northern Territories to network, share practices, and develop new ideas for their communities. Attendees will include Local Immigration Partnership and Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada staff. 

ABOUT THE PARNTERSHIP

The Bow Valley Immigration Partnership (BVIP), Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada, brings together stakeholders from Lake Louise, Banff, Canmore, western M.D. of Bighorn, and Kananaskis to build a welcoming community and improve immigrant integration.

Our partners include Town of Banff, Town of Canmore, Canadian Rockies Public Schools, Bow Valley College, Banff Lake Louise Hospitality Association, Settlement Services in the Bow Valley, The Job Resource Centre, Banff Ministerial Association, Bow Valley Primary Care Network, Canmore Hotel & Lodging Association, Alberta Parks, Parks Canada, and more.


NEEDS AND CONSIDERATIONS

 

Dates:

  • Two consecutive days and nights
  • Flexible dates between May 1st-13th

ATtendee profile:

  • 60 Guests from Bow Valley, Prairies and Northwest Territories
  • Professional: Government 

Meeting Room needs:

  • 1 plenary meeting room (seating capacity: approx: 60)(time: approx 8:30am-5pm)

    • Lectern

    • Flipchart stands

  • 2 Breakout meeting rooms (seating capacity: approx: 30)(time: approx: 8:30-5pm)

Tentative Audio/visual Needs:

Anticipated activities: in person presentations, simultaneous interpretation
Possible activities: Skype/remote presentations

  • Projector and screen
  • Sound system
  • 3 wired or wireless microphones
